Last year, when many small probate courts were being forced to consolidate into larger courts, Judge Blick was a leading advocate, working alongside community leaders and residents, to successfully achieve the preservation of the small town atmosphere and convenience of the Probate Court resulting in the new Litchfield Hills Probate District. The new Probate Court will serve the towns of Canaan (Falls Village), Cornwall, Harwinton, Kent, Litchfield, Morris, Norfolk, North Canaan, Salisbury, Sharon, Thomaston and Warren. For the convenience of all the residents, the Court's main office will continue to be located in the ground level of the Litchfield Town Hall and the satellite office will be located in the North Canaan Town Hall where that Court is currently located.
